Francesco Jacques Dias
Born in Rome in 1974. After studying in Rome and Barcelona, in 2000 he takes
his architecture degree with a thesis on the urban re-arrangement of a former
railway area in Rome focussing on open spaces as connective textures between existing
and newly built parts of the city.
He specializes in "architecture and
landscape forms" at Girona University (Spain). In 1997/98 he works at the
office of Enric Miralles in Barcelona. In 2000/02 he collaborates with Andrea
Vidotto. Since founding of s.e.l.f. - officina di architettura in 2002
he specifically works on public spaces with a particular interest for the territorial
perception and interpretation of urban matrix.
