Stefan Pollak
Born in 1973 in
Schwäbisch-Gmünd (Germany).
In 1993 he begins studying architecture
in Rome keeping continuous contacts between Germany and Italy.
In 1995/96
he works at the office Behnisch & Partner in Stuttgart.
In 1999
he graduates in Rome with a thesis on architecture and energy involving Prof.
Thomas Herzog (Technical University Munich).
In the same year he begins working
freelance with particular focus on projects in developing countries.
He continues
to work on this issue within s.e.l.f. - officina di architettura founded
in 2002.
At the same time he conducts didactic and research activity at Roma
3 University where he is currently graduating as a PhD.
